Product Overview

Antimony (Sb) is a vital metalloid characterized by its high hardness, exceptional corrosion resistance, and capacity to improve the properties of various metals.

Production Process

1. Ore Selection: High-grade stibnite (Sb₂S₃) ores are sourced from leading mining sites in Zimbabwe, Turkey and Myanmar.

2. Smelting & Refining: Antimony is extracted using volatilization roasting, Reverberatory furnace smelting, and chlorination refining processes to achieve high purity.

3. Casting & Quality Control: The refined antimony is cast into ingots and rigorously tested for purity and consistency.

Applications

  • Battery Manufacturing – Lead-acid battery grids for improved strength and durability

  • Alloys & Metallurgy – Hardening agent in lead, tin, and other metals for industrial uses

  • Fire Retardants – Used in plastics, textiles, and coatings for enhanced fire resistance

  • Electronics & Semiconductors – Essential in high-performance electronic components

  • Glass & Ceramics – Used in decolorizing and refining specialty glass
